Arrested Development- RENEWED!!!!!

According to Aint it Cool News (http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=17588), it looks like Arrested Development has been renewed for a much deserved second season!

Since we lost so many quality comedies this year, I'm really glad to hear that this show will still be on as it will be one of the only great sitcoms left on TV! Can't wait for the new epsiodes!

I think we all knew Scrubs was coming back, but to get this one too is definitely a treat. I hope Fox can come up with a creative way to build an audience for this show, because it's f'n brilliant.

Praise David Cross (who has a new cd on Sub Pop Records
called "It's Not Funny")

I cannot wait to purchase AD Season 1 on DVD.

Great news. It's a fantastic show, even if they do rely too heavily on the voice-over to move the plot along (IMO.)

I'd read earlier today on another site that both AD and Tru Calling have started staffing for 04-05, so I'll risk heartbreak and fully believe both shows are coming back. That said, even though AD is one of the great comedies of all time, it's ratings were not good at all.

I'm more than shocked that a second season is coming from the network that most recently brought and took away from us Firefly and Wonderfalls... I guess Fox just flips coins to decide which shows they will put their total faith in. I'm ecstatic we'll get to see more episodes of both AD and Tru Calling, but I just have to wonder where this confidence was for Firefly...

More and more sources seem to be saying the same thing, so it should be true.

One reason I didn't consistently watch this was because I had no faith in it getting picked up. This is good news.

At least now I'll have a reason to start watching it via DVD/Internet download this summer and get into it before next season.

I think Tru Calling has defied the odds by getting renewed (especially after being placed in the 8 p.m. Thursday night timeslot).

After what happened to Boomtown last year, I no longer jump as high when I hear one of my favorites has been renewed.

This is fantastic news, assuming it is the truth. Once the confirmation is officially, I will do the dance of joy.

From TVGuide.Com:

Fox, which unveils its fall lineup on Thursday, has renewed its critically acclaimed (yet Nielsen-challenged) gem Arrested Development, Variety reports. The net has also greenlit struggling freshman drama Tru Calling for a second season.
