They should have someone call Horatio "Det. Kelly" when he gets to New York

Ack! My worst fears have been confirmed, the DP or producers are going with a cold blue palette for CSI: NY. So predictable.

It's weird seeing "movie" actors working on TV (like Gary Sinese).

Nice, they already switched up the color-schemes on us. But Horatio still looks as if he is in Miami.

Well, it appears that NY:CSI's are pretty proactive investigators, more like detectives with CSI cred's. I think they are even more proactive than Miami, and definitely moreso than Las Vegas.

If they do CSI: LA, I can't imagine how laid back that CSI crew is going to be...

There was no song for CSI: NY because it opened up with the standard Who song for CSI: Miami.

Overall, an okay intro to CSI: NY, but I found it ironic that Caruso left NYPD Blue for a film career that didn't materialized, came back to do CSI: Miami and 2 years later, has to return to the Big Apple to help launch CSI: NY.

Nice to see Hill Harper get some work, as well as Melinda K....(from Providence). Like I said, this has to be the most aggressive bunch of CSIs yet.

Ok i've never watched CSI before and tuned in tonight because I love Gary Sinese. I had a question

Why are the CSI guys leading the investigation isn't that what cops do? Are they a special unit of police?

Also dosen't the actor who plays Kaine from Miami remind you of William H Macy? He did for me anyways.

Mac Taylor and Kaine made a great team they should be together on a show.

Does anyone know the song that was playing when they were looking at the plane ticket in New York?

is Sinese going to be on full time or did they just use him for the send off?
I like how when he first shows up they only show the back of his head, trying to surprise us with who it is, but the previews and commercials spoiled that a week ago

Sorry if these answers sound smart-ass....

I think it's because it makes the show more interesting. Having a bunch of lab techs (Oh, I mean scientists) run around and pick up evidence isn't as exciting as a rooftop-to-rooftop chase.

No, he reminds me of Kelly, his character from NYPD Blue. And don't insult Macy - it's like they're not even in the same profession.

I didn't think it was too bad. I was glad to see that Horatio adjusted to the color of the NY setting after the initial intro.

I liked Sinese in the role, as well as Hill Harper and Melina K.

It was at least good enough to get me to watch the new show when it airs. In fact, I am fairly confident that I will enjoy it much more than Miami, which I rarely ever watch now.

I thought it was good.

It all ready has a better supporting cast then Miami and Sinease is on another plaent when you compare him to Caruso.

I was laughing at the blue tint also

Now all we need is Melina and Emily Procter to team up
