Can I switch between PC and DirecTV?

I've got a Dell Dimension 4600 and this tv/monitor. I want to also hook up my DirecTV receiver to it. What do I need to do in order to be able to switch back and forth between using that tv/monitor as my PC monitor, and watching DirecTV on it? Can this be done?

This isn't exactly a deal, I'll move it to the correct forum.

I wonder whether you'll get an answer here faster than at AVS?

I don't see why you could not do it. A monitor is a monitor as far as a signal is concerned.

If the monitor has two seperate inputs you would simply switch between the sources. Given what I see in the specs

Audio / Video Input Cables:

Composite Video

S-Video

Component Video

Audio (RCA - L+R)

PC Input Cables - Standard 6ft cables:

Analog (VGA)

DVI-D (Digital)

PC Audio

you should be able to connect the PC to the analog or dvi and direct tv to the component or dvi if unused.

The only question I have is how to do the switching which on most video equipment is done through a remote control for input.

Good luck!
