Sigh. I had such high hopes for this movie until I viewed the trailer.

DreamWorks Animation Studios sucks, in my opinion. Shrek was over-rated, and this movie isn't going to convince anyone that Pixar isn't the best animation studio in the world. Besides, it seems like a blatant attempt to cash in on Finding Nemo.

When's The Incredibles come out? I actually want to see that, and I typically dislike animated films.

Looks entertaining, but it'll get eaten up by the Incredibles.

This seems to have the same problem I had with Shrek, too many modern in jokes, dates the film already.

I can't believe it's called "Shark Tale." Why don't they just call it "Fish Story" if they want to be generic?

Don't know about this movie.

Didn't find the computer animation impressive.

Or funny. An American Tail beat them to the punch by nearly 2 decades.

Sharkslayer was a better title.

PDI's animation has never been impressive. Their color schemes can be awful and the lighting is always flat and generic. They'd probably look better if Pixar stopped blowing us away with ever effort. Did you notice that, unlike Finding Nemo, it didn't look like they were underwater?

I've personally always liked A Carnivorous Water Cow's Story better as a title.

You are right, it doesn't look like they are underwater at all unlike Finding Nemo.

They have to realize that Pixar is setting the bar way high in computer animation and they either have to at least reach the bar to impress us nowadays.

To compensate I guess you have to come up with a cool story, which i think this has but damn if they shouldve reigned what sounds like just Will SMith running off at the mouth.

Looks decent. Probably just a bad first trailer. I hope it will be funnier than Nemo though which I thought was pretty much laugh free.

Looks awful.

Does Dreamworks know how to do anything besides steal from Pixar?

I liked Shrek, Ants was bleh and Ice Age was decent but this looks craptastic. I think one of their biggest flaws is character design. The ants just looked weird and the animals in Ice Age looked very angular and strange not very appealing. They hit it on the head with Shrek though. But why do the sharks have such tiny mouths?

Ice Age wasn't Dreamworks or PDI. It was by Blue Sky through Fox.
