Yamaha HTR-5660 / SONY STR-DE895 Receiver Opinons?

Sears is having a great component sale as they clearing out their existing inventory and making the move to only carrying HTIBs. I've found an open box Yamaha HTR-5660 (Everything included: remote/manual etc.) and a new in box SONY STR-DE895 for roughly the same price. There was also a Pioneer I wasn't too interested in. Any opinions as to which unit would be the better all around performer?

If those were my choices I would buy the Yamaha.

The non-ES Sony line is not a well made.

Get the Yamaha. The Sony STR-DExxx line is not very reliable.

Not even close. The Yamaha will sound great. The Sony will have lots of bells and whistles, and maybe even better claimed numbers, but it won't put out nearly the same clean sound at volume and the DSP effects will sound like your head is in a toilet bowl.

Short answer: Yamaha.

Thanks for the advice, I hooked up the 5660 last evening and have noticed a vast improvement. Much warmer and fuller sounding than what it replaced. Would have been even better with the addition of an on-screen display or a learning remote, but all in all, I've got no complaints.
