Starting an international dvd site

I'm starting my own store for international DVDs from all regions, but I need your help. What titles do you most want from other regions, and which do you consider essentials? Also, why do you want other regions -- better editions or movies unavailable in the USA? Your feedback will be a huge help to me.

i always look for stuff I know will never come out in the US, as well as better editions (audio/video) of foreign films mostly. Really national treasures.

I've always had an idea about creating a store that deals exclusively with foreign/domestic oop disks... not sure how far you are willing to go.

Three basic reasons I buy from regions other than mine (R1):

1) Item not available in Region 1

2) Item out in a better edition than Region 1 (considerations include completeness, OAR, substantive extras, technical superiority, etc.)

3) Item is the same as Region 1, but a lot cheaper.

I'll second marty888's reasons, those are generally what does it for me as well.

If I were to start my own store, I would use DVDCompare.net as a reference...i use it before almost every purcase just to make sure to purchase the best version available...

I like dvdcompare but they're too Euro centric. Not enough Asian comparos.
