Wow, the past few weeks, with tonight's episode in particular, have really brought back the old 24 vibe. I didn't think they would have the guts to end that the way they did. Although, I don't think they are going to have the guts to kill off Michelle. Looks like she is part of the 5% or so who won't be infected.

Gotta love Chloe. To Jack: "Your tone of voice isn't exactly a morale booster." How about know that if you do your job properly, you could save the lives of millions of people? That boost your morale, lady?

Wow. I think that may have been the best hour of television I have ever seen. The suspense was insanely high.
Spoiler:
How many people thought Chappelle might turn on Jack at the end? "I just can't do this..." but then shoot Jack? Just unbelievable.

Spoiler:
What will happen with the guy who cheated on his wife?
Will they catch him while he is still in the house? Damn...the season started slow but it is more than making up for it now.

the ending- Wow! Nice. That covert was intense, but the outcome was quite predictable.

Intense episode! Had to switch between this and Alias, but made sure to catch all of 24. The great thing about tonight is that only 2 days from now is another hour.

OMG! That was crazy.

As far as my prediction....foiled again BUT BUT BUT there is hope.

My only gripe with this episode and I'm in no way trying to take from the incident that unfolded. Why did they make such a big deal out of it but Chase pops a few guys in broad daylight ON THE STREET and it's like nothing happened. Sure it was before 7:00am but still. Sucks though as I really like Chapell. He was one of those characters you love to hate but was a good guy at heart.

The last 10 minutes of that episode was the most gut-wrenching of any TV show I've seen in a very long time, maybe ever. It even tops the Sopranos ep where BigPuss gets it.

My predictions (are these supposed to be spoilerized?)
Spoiler:
Jack didn't actually shoot Chapelle. He's going to go after the guys in the van so they run off, but since they think they saw him shoot Chapelle that will be enough to prevent the virus from being unleashed.

As for the scenes from next week:
Spoiler:
it looks like the guy who got away from the hotel ends up in some kind of convenience store, it's gonna make it very difficult to contain the virus. Also, Kim finally gets put in harms way!!!!

Edit: OK, looks like the goons in the black van are loading Chapelle's bloody body in the van. Holy carp, he did shoot him!

Chase is a Federal Agent. If they showed every administrative conversation telling the cops to set up a perimeter, it would be pretty boring. Besides,
Spoiler:
he has one of those red flashing memory erasers.

It hasn't been announced yet, but it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that 24 will definitely return. It gets good ratings and FOX has a paucity of solidly-performing, recurring dramas.

When FOX aired their May promo during 24 tonight, I noticed it said "Season finales of The O.C. and 24." Since it said season finale, not series finale I assume it will be back again.

yes he may have spoiled it for you, but if your going to go into a thread that says "24 has just crossed tthe line" right after the episode airs, you kind of had to have known that spoilers were gonna be there.

One thing that bothered me about this episode:

Spoiler:
Saunders is still in that building where they thought he was. He has to be, right? Even if he set up fake guards to trick CTU, he'd have no reason to have direct surveilance feeds right to his room if he wasn't in the same building. That wouldn't trick any agents, just us viewers.

They were acting like they have no clue where he is after they found out that they were duped. He has to be in that same building. Go look for him!
