Some pretty huge news from Tarantino in the new Fangoria about Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2
I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere & figured it's different type of news from the other threads so thought I'd post it. If it has been mentioned already then forgive me.
The new issue of Fangoria has an exclusive interview with Tarantino in it & here is some pretty major announcements I haven't seen posted anywhere. Here is the exact quote from the interview
"Fango: Will we be able to watch the entire House of Blue LEaves sequence in color on DVD?"
Tarantino: That will remain in B & W. It was only seen in color in Japan & Hong Kong. I will take the Japanese versions of both Vol. 1 & Vol. 2. put hem together & release them in theaters. And it will be NC-17. Then we will come out with that on video too."
I thought that was pretty big news if it's true. It is from Tarantino himself. I'll be getting the unrated box set soon, but the part about re-releasing them uncut in the theater is huge.

And then another release on video? So how many versions of Kill Bill does that mean for region 1 alone?

I really hope this happens, I really loved Vol. 1 and it looks like Vol. 2 is going to be that much better. Kill Bill may be the ultimate movies for me.

1 for vol 1 theater cut, 1 for vol 2 theater cut and one collectors set of the two together. It seems like this is that "collectors pack" he was talking about.

Here is the other tid-bit in the interview that had me all dorked up like a fanboy. . . .
"Fango: Is you giallo film still percolating?
Tarantino: That's definitely in there. Once I get off this mountain, I will know where to go next."
It's a really good interview. Tarantino comes off extemely full of himself throuhout the interview, but that doesn't bother me. The guy loves everything I like, & he purely makes the movies he wants to make, & he seems to be very short tempered with other creators & the crap that is out there.
It's a good issue of Fango, Fango was once my favorite magazine but over the years it's gotten way to into mainstream movies & films that are barely horror related but this issue has some good pieces. There is also a great piece on Dario Argento's new movie, that has be dying to see the thing.

A Tarantino giallo could be cool. Just imagine all the Bava references.

I wanna see Inglorious Bastards first. Then Sin City. Then Casino Royale then the giallo.
Looks like it could be another 7-years.

7 years is nothing, as long as he keeps releasing films. I'm happy with everything Tarantino has done, I have no reason to believe he'll upset me. I look forward to his giallo film, the most though.

Well, I'm guessing *this* theater will show it:
