Samurai Trilogy Box Set - Criterion or Crash Cinema

i have just recently discovered Samurai movies and can not seem to get enough of them.

i have been buring through everything from Zatoichi to Lone Wolf and Cub to more recently Samurai Fiction.

i want to add to my collection and wondered if anyone had any recommendation about the Samurai Trilogy and where i should purchase it.

amazon has the criterion set for release in early May and HKflix has a set from Crash Cinema for less than half the price.

anyone have any thoughts?

I'm curious too. I was also debating on whether to pick up the Criterion set or the Crash set. So, if anyone knows anything about either set, please post something.

To the original poster, here are some samurai movies not listed on that site given by Hendrik you may want to check out if you already haven't. Also, search this message board, the people here seem to know a lot about samurai movies. Click on me.

When the Last Sword was Drawn
Three Outlaw Samurai
Harakiri
Sword of Doom
Any Kurosawa movie, my personal favorites are Rashomon, Kagemusha, Yojimbo, and Ran

Criterion... Especially with the box set coming out on the cheap!
