Projector losing sync?
My friend has a Toshiba TLP-MT2u projector and a Sony DVP-CX875P dvd player. He just bought a Component/RGB cable to connect the player to the projector. The cable is 20 feet long. The player is set up in progressive mode both in the menu and on the switch on the back.
Here is the problem: While watching dvds, the picture disappears, then returns as a double image (there is a split image to the left and right). Sometimes it goes back to normal, sometimes it needs to be put back in the RGB mode on the projector. What is causing this problem? Is it that the sync is lost? Or that its in progressive mode?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, with the new cable, there are some wavy lines near the top of the screen that were not visable when using SVIDEO cables. Could this mean he bought a fautly cable?
