Texas Chainsaw Massacre ('74) R2
Is there any reason to pick up the region 2 DVD over the current region 1 disc? I think they're both non-anamorphic. But is there any difference in the picture quality or is the region 2 version a different cut?

Any info would be appreciated......

Yeah.....I just saw that. It says the Region 2 version has better video quality. But I didn't know if it was an entirely different transfer or what.
Oh well. I guess I'll check it out.

Do you have the R1 release to compare to? I am thinking about picking up the R2 one for some of the extras, and better picture. I would be interested in knowing how much better the picture is.

The R2 disc looks exactly like the Elite LD transfer. It doesn't have the picture problems the Pioneer R1 has. It would also explain why its non-anmorphic. The commentary is from the Elite LD.

Thanks for the info mrwilson. I don't have the R1 (pioneer) release. But I think I'll be getting the R2 if it has the Elite LD transfer.
Plus it has a pretty cool cover (not that it matters).
