If you were to own just ONE arcade game...

Which game would it be?

I'd probably go for one of the early Street Fighter II editions (Champion Edition, Hyper Fighting), because that's when I really discovered gaming.

And no, MAME cabinets do not count.

I'd go with one of those Ms. Pac Man/Pac Man flat table machines.

Then I could tell my wife it's functional (in a general usefulness sense).

It would go great next to a pool table...

I'd have to go Double Dragon or Ikari Warriors.

Maybe a Dance Dance Revolution game. I'd finally be able to figure that game out and stop being embarrassed by the 12-year olds at the bowling alley.

I'd have to say Dig-Dug. And that is only if i couldn't take a pinball machine - because then i might have to go with Theater of Magic.

I did the same thing when I was kid. I'd love to have the cabinet version.

I'd want the Ms. Pacman, Galaga & Pacman 3-in-1 Cocktail Table acade game. But it costs about $3,200.

All the new multi-game classic arcade games that have come out recently are pretty cool.

Of course theres the Ms PacMan, Galaga, Pacman 3-in-1. But I just found out they also have the following multi-game units out now:

4-in-1 Missile Command, Centipede, Millipede & Capcom Bowling

8-in-1 Defender, Stargate, Joust, Robotron, Bubbles, Moon Patrol, Sinstar and Splat

2-in-1 Space Invaders and Qix

24-in-1 Ultracade Arcade Legends which includes 1942, Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, Battlezone, Berzerk, Bomb Jack Twin, Centipede, Crystal Castles, Dark Stalker, Ghosts'n Goblins, Gunsmoke, Lady Bug, Mega Man, Millipede, Missile Command, Mr. Do, Mr. Do's Castle, Mr. Do's Wild Ride, Penguin Wars, Street Fighter II, Strider, Super Breakout, Super Dodgeball, Tempest, and more.

Check them out here at this link

I definitely agree ... a driving game, especially one that had the movement, etc, and could be hooked up to a second one for some live competition.

I never play driving games on my consoles, but I sank a ton of money into various driving games as a kid.

I'd go for the WMS Multigame: Defender, Stargate, Joust, Robotron, Bubbles, and Splat. All running on original hw boards (so it's NOT a lame mame thing!) and has great artwork. In fact, I didgo forone ofthose.

But if it were just one game, I would have to pick Robotron. Kinda like Smash TV but more insane. ANd incredibly addictive. Still....

720 was the best arcade game... A quarter would last a good hour.

I'd probably play more Galaga than any other game, but my first instinct was to say..... Sinistar

So reading the whole thread I'd have to amend it to the above mentioned:
8-in-1 Defender, Stargate, Joust, Robotron, Bubbles, Moon Patrol, Sinstar and Splat

I'd take Daytona USA or similar linked machines if more than 1 was allowed.
