The Whole 10 Yards

is anyone else excited about this. I really loved the first movie (the whole nine yards).

Looks aight. I don't see it making much money, though. I have a feeling that this is going on the same path of Analyze That. The first one was a very enjoyable comedy. But I just don't think it has enough material to make it.

I could be wrong though...

The trailer was originally released about a year ago, but it was AWFUL. They re-did the trailer, delayed the movie, re-shot some stuff, and now it's coming out.

Hopefully it'll be good.

Yeah but the new trailer still has the same unfunny scenes in it. I love the first one but I'm not holding out too much hope for this one.

I loved the first.

This one looks horrible. Probably one of the worst trailers I've seen in years.

And it's PG-13 to boot...

Loved the first, but the trailer I saw last year was terrible, so I doubt I'll see it in theaters(maybe the dollar theater).

So no Amanda Peet boobies?

I didn't really like the first one, so I'm not to excited about this. I also dislike the title.

me too - loved the first, this one looks like it has 'bad idea' written all over it. I can't comment on the quality of the film since I haven't seen it, but I don't think I'll be in a rush to check it out.

I liked the original alot, but there is no reason for this sequel. The trailer just makes it look that much worse.

I enjoyed the first one. This one looks pretty inferior, but any chance to see Natasha Henstridge on the screen is good enough for me.

The first one was actually pretty good. 10 Yards may have the worst trailer I've seen in quite a while (I think the redone one may even be crappier now). I'm a Willis fan but this trailer (which usually show the funniest parts of the movie) most certainly inspires NO confidence in the film. I may rent it and pray at a later date.

yep, the first trailer looked dreadful. The new one is a tad better, but still doesn't scream "hey go see this movie." Looks like a rental at best.

I didn't care for the first one all that much and probably will not be seeing this one.

Some actors are just plain awful...Matthew Perry being one of them. No range whatsoever and acts like the same "Friends" character in every movie he makes.

First one wasn't too bad...but hearing that there's a sequel to this movie..just makes me wonder WHY??
Are there people out there who really wanted a sequel for this?

Could the trailer BE any unfunnier?

See what I did there?

The first one was okay, but certainly doesn't merit a sequel.

Ebert's 1-star review here

I have concluded that this is the most unnecessary sequel in recent memory - who's with me?

Yeah, I thought the original was an okay time-waster, but not good enough to ever watch a second time. So the fact that they're making this sequel shocked me. And yeah, I think the trailer looks awful.

The original was a big hit, so of course a sequel was green lit.

No offense to anyone but I didn't even think the first one was that great I wonder why it was necessary to make a sequel. Same thing with Scooby Doo. I wonder what the execs are smoking at Warner. Whats next City By The Sea 2? Of course they did do Analyze That.

I thought the first one was a rental and even though it had boobies, I thought the flashing wasn't even needed in the film.

The sequel looks very unneeded but eh. I'm sure it will turn a profit.

Well, "Scooby Doo" made 153 million in the U.S. and 122 million overseas. While "The Whole Nine Yards" did 57 million in the U.S. and 49 million elsewhere. Big difference. I'm sure both did decent busines on video. Again, "Scooby Doo" probably doing much better than "Yards". Still, I don't know one person who was dying to get a sequel to it.
