Overstock.com - The new KBTOYS?

I was just looking through Overstock's selection of games and noticed a trend that screamed KBTOYS.

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
LIST PRICE: $57.99
OUR PRICE: $43.99

X2: Wolverine's Revenge
LIST PRICE: $56.99
OUR PRICE: $45.99

Def Jam Vendetta
LIST PRICE: $57.99
OUR PRICE: $30.49

NFL QB Club 2002
LIST PRICE: $57.99
OUR PRICE: $25.99

Are they actually fooling anyone? Was KBTOYS? Are they unwilling to learn from KB's mistake? I mean Wolverine's revenge for $57? Or for $46!? ... I paid 6$ brand new for that turd.

I was going to buy a PC game from them for an actual good price. But now i've changed my mind due to spite.

Too funny. I wonder how much they're selling "Jordan Vs Bird" for?

I can't stand when companies do this. Almost no games retail for more than 50 bucks, and it doesn't take but a short search to find the street price of the games. This tactic might work for clothes and other sales, where they mark everything up and then have a percent off sale, but it won't work for video games. Anyone who actually gets fooled by this deserves it, if they are only looking at the percent off. Hopefully this backfires on them.

It's also a trick that works a lot better at brick and mortar stores where you don't want to waste your time going all the way to another store and back to check on a price. But when all it takes is Ctrl+N to check another stores price, noone should fall for this sort of thing.

Overstock won't get any business of mine if they think they can get away with shit like this...

I have to say that while those game prices are a bit crazy, my wife and I have gotten some amazing deals in other departments there in the past. Though I am getting tired of new curtains, bedsheets and baby clothes arriving weekly :-)
