Big TIVO price drop, is a new model coming?

Tivo 40 hr model is being advertised at $150 now after rebate. This is a big price drop ($100). Is a new model coming out soon? I don't want to buy in and miss out a newer, better model. Any info appreciated.

Yes there is. I'm not positive on the specifics, but I believe it will have HD functions associated with it, including recording (of course) of HD content.

I think the one that will have HD functions is the sattelite tuner, not the run of the mill standalone TiVo. There is a new model of the standalones out now, it does 140 hours of programming and costs $250 after $50 rebate. The new price on the 40 hour TiVo isn't really a $100 price drop, TiVo's offered the standard $50 rebate on it for a long time, almost since it was released. It's a $50 price drop.
