Who should play Daisy Duke?
So you've heard the rumblings of a Dukes of Hazard movie, but there are a few girls that are fighting to get the role of Daisy Duke. Who would you pick?

the role of a hick bimbo is tailor made for a Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson.
it would be perfect for either one because they wouldn't need to carry the movie, just provide some simple minded T&A which they are quite accomplished at already, and they have name recognition to provide a lot of buzz.
Jessica Biel and the others mentioned all seem a little over-qualified this role, although thats not saying very much.

Though she certainly did dress like a hick bimbo, I never really thought of Daisy Duke as a hick bimbo, conversely she came across to me as a strong, confident, and intelligent woman who was comfortable with her sexuality and even smarter to use it to her advantage. Seriously. However, I should mention I wasn't at all a fan of the show and I don't think I've ever watched an episode in its entirety (just the good (aka - hick bimbo) parts).
As for who should play Daisy Duke in a new movie, I understand the need in choosing a name actress to draw people, but I feel all those mentioned so far are "yesterday's news". Or at least, I'm pretty tired of most of them.
With that being said, behold the future (sorry I couldn't find a good picture of her without the dude in it):
Her name is Megan Fox (she'll be 18 in just a couple of months so be patient). She's in that movie "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" but the first time I saw her was on an episode of that Charlie Sheen/Jon Cryer show "Two and a Half Men". No doubts that she can fill the suit, and in addition I think she can better portray the Daisy Duke I envision - smart, confident, strong, and with a bit of an attitude. A bonus is that according to IMDb.com, she was born in Tennessee.

Oh yeah, I loved that episode of "Two and a Half Men" where Megan Fox showed up and totally had both Charlie and Alan tripping over their tongues the entire time. Megan is seriously HOT!

I say Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson. Katie Holmes, Jessica Biel, hell all these other actresses we named...well I'd rather they do movies that are somewhat worthwhile. This role is a throwaway, just someone who needs to look good in some short shorts. I mean, let's get real...this role ain't gonna be well written and anything more than eye candy, so why waste a good actress on it. Let's just get some good eye candy and let these decent actresses do something else.
