Vin Diesel: Are his 15 minutes up yet?
Vin Diesel, wasn't he supposed to be the next Arnold? I watched about 20 minutes of xXx before I turned it off...horrible stuff. Will his career be more like Schwarzenegger's or Steven Seagal's?

I thought XXX was pretty decent. I don't think Riddick is going to make or break his career, although Universal seems to be hyping it up more then it needs to, by rereleasing/retitling the Pitch Black DVD as well as coming out with an animated prequel dealie.

He's the most ugly-looking actor I have ever seen.

I enjoyed pitch black, but he better start picking better roles cause XxX just plain sucked.

ahh. I like Vin. I liked F&F, Boiler Room, Pitch Black, and he did a pretty good job in Saving Private Ryan.
It is when his head got too big that things started going downhill. XXX - mediocre. Knockaround Guys? Not impressed.

Are Vin's days in the fame over? I'd say far from it. Fast and the Furious made him a big star. Since then he's had ONE new movie come out, XXX, and that film did quite well commercially (yes, it wasn't that good). Now we have Chronicles of Riddick, a film I am looking forward...a film that wouldn't exist save for the star power of Vin Diesel. I imagine his career does rely a lot on this movie. If it bombs, it will hurt him (not to the point of straight to video though). But really, his career is fine...this movie is just a big make or break thing. His topliner career is made up of Rob Cohen films. So we shall see.
I know he had a couple flicks open after XXX, but really I don't count those. They were holdover junk movies made before the fast and the furious, with limited advertising to push them. Nonetheless, I don't think they represent what he will be doing from now on.
