What's new in upcoming "Pillow Talk" re-release?

I bought the "Pillow Talk" DVD at an outrageous price ($25) about six months ago, and now I see it's slated to be re-released on April 6, 2004. Amazon.com isn't listing any special features for the upcoming release and the cover doesn't look any different. Does anyone know how this upcoming release differs from the previous one?

Looking forward to "Lover Come Back" being released on the same day. What's the hold up on "Move Over, Darling?"

This one is anamorphic and part of Doris Day/Rock Hudson boxed set.

There ought to be a law. That movie was just released in 2003(!), and it wasn't even anamorphic? Are these video companies doing this buy design to make more money--i.e., purposefully releasing letterboxed DVDs first with plans to release the anamorphic later and then release it again with special features and then rerelease it again with restoration? Or are they innocently thinking they are releasing the best they can each time? I find it hard to believe that Universal didn't already know that anamorphic is preferable to letterbox in early 2003.

No. It wasn't originally released on DVD in 2003.
Pillow Talk was originally released (non-anamorphic) in 1999.
The 2003 release date you refer to was for the SAME 1999 edition; it was simply a re-pricing re-release by Universal (when they lowered the price drastically of virtually every catalog title).

This is where "release dates" get very confusing. You're never quite sure if it's the original release date; or just a "re-pricing" re-release date.

Not a huge difference. But the new cover (bottom pic) *is* slightly different.........
