Saving Private Ryan 2-Disc - May 25

Saving Private Ryan gets the two disc treatment
February 26, 2004

The 1998 World War II epic is coming to DVD as a new two-disc special edition in time for D-Day from DreamWorks SKG.
The new edition of Private Ryan will solve the old conflict of which version to buy by including both a Dolby Digital and DTS soundtrack. All the features of the first version of the disc will be included as well as possible extras to be announced.
The disc will arrive on May 25th with a $26.95 suggested retail price.

Does anyone know if the new disc will have a new transfer? The old one is okay, but it was an early DVD and there are some noticeable compression artifacts.
