Disc Specs: The Triplets of Belleville

From DavidDVD:

Viewers will see triple May 4 when Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment will release the Oscar-nominated animated film The Triplets of Belleville (Les Triplettes de Belleville) to DVD on May 4th. The disc will include two making-of featurettes, three behind-the-scenes featurettes with scene commentary and a music video for the Oscar-nominated song "Triplets Rendez Vous." Retail will be $24.98.
I hope they have the trailer on the disc. This (and FvsJ, Kill Bill, and LOTR) we my favorite trailers of last year.

Also, and not to come down on Patrick, but the song was "Belleville Rendez-Vous," not "Triplets Rendez-vous." Musta been a mistake on Son'y part.

VERY worth seeing.

If Sony Classics plays their cards right, Triplets could beat Nemo.

I only had hoped that Columbia Home Video might have thrown a DTS track on it like Tartan's UK release.

Luckily, the first time I went to see this movie was at a Landmark so I got to see it (the second time, I went to a Loews and didn't see it). I wish it was on the disc--that would be really nice.

gathering from the review it sounds like the image is slightly marred by cropping as is the case with a review of the French Region 2 edition as well

No no! The Triplets would pretty much wail on Nemo . . . he's just a little fish. Hardly even enough to make sushi out of, come on! Unless Nemo brought Bruce, and then it would be an interesting fight. Hardly fair the way it stands now though.
