Check your Roswell sets!

Thanks to member Kevin M. Dean for spotting this error. I would have never known about this, because this item was a blind buy for me and I was just browsing the thread on 1st impressions of Roswell and lo and behold this problem was casually mentioned in the thread. I think that this is important enough for its own thread. I'm so far behind in watching stuff, I probably wouldn't have gotten to it until this summer.

I also bought my Roswell from Amazon. You MUST open the case for disc 4 and look at the disc inside. The cover art on the case is correct (it says disc 4 with the blond alien chick on the cover), but when you look inside the case, I had a disc 1 and it plays the episodes 1 - 4.

I have emailed Amazon about the problem, but have not received a reply yet.

I requested a replacement from Amazon so hopefully I don't get another incorrect set.

Anyone who ordered from Amazon and received a set that is fine, let us know so we can feel better about our potential replacements.

Call Fox, I did. They are sending me a replacement and they seem to know about the problem. I didn't even have to send them the extra disc back.

My set from Amazon.com was also fine. Good luck with your replacement and hopefully it comes with all the correct discs this time.

my set from amazon was also fine. i had this problem awhile back with buffy season three. disc 5 was actually disc 3. the right label was on the disc, just had the wrong content. they were pretty good with exchanging it.

Thanks everyone, so it seems my chances are good to get a good copy. My replacement order is already "Shipping soon". What sucks for me is that I already have a replacement order for Angel Season 3 arriving on Monday to hopefully fix a glitch on disc 2. So Fox is 0 for 2 this week. Great thing about Amazon is I can wait to get the fixed sets so I can mix and match the discs to hopefully get a clean set out of the deal. I've already watch all my angel discs so i just need a clean disc 2 for that one and I know the first 3 discs of my roswell set are good. Just have to watch the remaining discs once I get the new set there. I was just hoping to finish it this weekend darn it.

No Prob. Hopefully it will allow others to catch the problem before it's to late to request a replacement.

I called Fox. They said that they are aware that a small amount of boxed sets went out with 2 disc "1"s and no disc "4". Called them on Monday afternoon and got the disc 4 today (Wednesday). The disc was shipped in a regular envelope, no case. I don't have to return the extra disc "1". Thanks to all of you for your help.

If they like disc 1, they will like the first two seasons.

WOW!!!

Fox deserves a big pat on the back for the way they are handling this error. Not only did they acknowledge the problem quickly....they mailed out replacements immediately!!! That is great news for all who received this set with 2 copies of disc 1.

Just to clarify. I got my replacement from Amazon which is also very fast on replacements.
