As little as you want. You could put a penny on if you want to.

My Best Buy has said a $1 is the minimum, then $5, then $1 again. It's basically YMMV, but I doubt too many Best Buy's would allow a penny put on the card. I'd be too embarrassed to ask.

Mine did, but like you said it's basically YMMV. I've only done it a few times.

There's really no hard limits. As mentioned above, the register CAN generate $0.01 gift cards. But, I personally don't want the unnecessary embarassment or dirty looks from high schoolers, so I usually put $5 on the card. I would use them up fairly fast anyway so it's no big deal.

I usually put $15 on it because I'm just going to use the gift card to buy the game which has to be at least $19.99.

BB Penny Gift Cards make a great gift for someone you don't like.

True, but you need extra coupons to use at Circuit City. So I always put $5 on the gift card but then use them as quickly as possible. I try to always have at least 10 coupons in my car at all times.

... or you could do what someone else on here claimed... simply open the GCs and use the coupon. Since there is no value to the GC until money is added at the register, they implied that it isn't really "stealing"....

I strongly recommend against it. First, it's not that big of a deal to put some money on a gift card, and you get the coupon as a bonus. Second, if everybody starts doing this, do you think there'll be any incentive for BB to put coupons on gift cards?
