Mafia Movies, What's Your Choice?
I recently found out that King of New York is finally being released in anamorphic transfer, a movie I've been waiting on for quite some time. I passed on buying the first release due to the transfer issue. Seems like the patience has paid off, with this Special Edition, now if they could re-release State of Grace Special Edition I'd really be happy.
Well, this got me thinking about a few Mafia/Mob type movies and I was wondering what is your all time favorite mob movie, I know this probably has been asked before, but I'm curious now. So, given the poll list of ones that I thought of, or if you have your own fav, please list.
Oh and is there any particular reason why you have chosen your favorite?
Mine would have to be, KING OF NEW YORK. I think Christopher Walken has to be one of the best sinister type actor's there are, and I believe he pulls this movie off very well, along with quite a few others, such as Lawrence Fishburne, Wesley Snipes, David Caruso, and a few other familiars, Sure, it's a gritty movie that doesn't have the refinement that say, the Godfather Trilogy's do, but I like KONY way better.

Godfather I & II are great movies, period. But Goodfellas works perfectly as a pure mob movie while Godfather enphasizes more of the family element than the mob itself.
