I heard PulseRacer was pretty horrible....but for $5 (or free if the old coupon still works)......

Good trade-in bait at least maybe....

Armed and Dangerous was supposed to be pretty good wasn't it? Sounded a bit like Serious Sam.

Armed & Dangerous was great! A couple levels seemed recycled, but the plot is funny as hell, and it's just fun to play. Worth $50, a steal at $30.

IGN blasted blasted PN 03 for the terrible controls and repetitive levels. Has anyone played this game personally and care to comment on the gameplay aspects?

You mean $14.99, right?

The demo wasn't very fun, and it was universally panned in reviews. See here http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/516697.asp

Its actually not that bad a game. One of the impulses most people get (including IGN it seems) when they play it is that it is a 3D exploration game like devil may cry, but if you play this way you'll get frusterated with the controls.

What the game actually is, is a shooter (like a top down space shooter) set in the 3rd person and it plays very much like one. The environments are not to be explored, but an area in which you can dodge, hide, and blow away enemies. If you play it with that mind set you'll have a much better time.

Strangely, Armed and Dangerous is still $49 at my local Best Buy; they checked the computer and even rang it up, and it still comes up at that price.

This game is a lot of fun if you like killing enemies and using explosives. I played all the way through and really enjoyed it. The movies in between each level are a lot of fun. This game has a quirky sense of humor, but it is a good game. After finishing the game I have enjoyed revisiting some of the earlier levels just to go in and decimate everything. You can blow up buildings, people, and shoot enemies, penguins, and sheep. It really rocks on a surround sound system.

Hope this helps!!!
