What cable do I need to get 5.1 audio out of my PS2?

What cable do I need to get 5.1 audio out of my PS2?

I'm not in front of it but I wanted to pick the right cable up on the way home, if possible. What does it take? Links to pics would be awesome...

all you need is an optical cable. They should be one size fits all, just get the right length. You need a receiver or some sound system that has an optical input.

Ok, so it's not some special PS2-on-one-end/optical-on-the-other cable like their video cables. Thanks.

nah, same one you use with DVD players and anything else that does 5.1

Also make sure you enable the optical port in the PS2 setup menu. I was getting no sound for a while before I figured that out!

As well as enable DTS in your DVD playback menus!!! Of course if your reciever supports it. Took me 20 min. to figure out why it didn't work
