Late Night Poker
Is anyone watching this show on Fox Sports? It is a recent import from England. Evidently, the show started in 1999.
I'm a little torn on the show. I always watch it, because I just can't get enough of this recent poker TV show craze. But it has Jesse May as one of the commentators. He's not nearly as bad as when he hosts the World Series of Poker specials, but God, is he annoying. Also, I don't like how they present the hole cards to the viewer. Sometimes, you see the cards though the glass table, other times you get the images in the corner of the screen. Most of the time, I (as a viewer) know what people have before the commentators, which is annoying as well.
But, like I said, I still watch it. Go figure.

So, they’re actually showing the UK program?
Last time I looked, they were doing parts of the Showdown at the Sands, or something like that.
Just tell me Jesse May is doing commentary and I’ll know to stay away.

Jesse May is doing commentary, but the show is very slow and quiet, which makes Jesse slightly easier to handle.

I'll stick to ESPN's WSOP and Travel's WPT.
Fox Sports Net had a different poker series that started Thanksgiving that was good, but it disappeared and I never saw the end. I wish they'd bring that one back instead of this late-night poker show.

I just discovered Late Night Poker and I really like it, particularly since I don't get Travel Channel (WPT). I love the LNP table and the darkness of the room. Great to record a week's worth of episodes and watch them straight through on the weekend.
The hokeyness of Jessie May is hilarious. Where else will you hear the phrase "He was on that raise like a hobo on a ham & cheese."

I also like this show as well. It's a nice change of pace from the WWE presentation style of WPT and WSOP.
It's also nice when Victoria Coren or Vicky Lincoln are playing.

I love Vicky Lincoln - plus I love her style of play - similar to the way I play.
