Die Hard 2 - Yea or Nay?

I personally liked the film, although I think it's the weakest of the 3. My friend thinks it a peice of crap, but he loves the first and third.

What's your opinion?

I love it. A great sequel that isn't quite as good as the original, but still a damn fine action movie. Much better than the third Die Hard IMO.

I dig it a lot also. Liked it WAYYY better than 3. The only thing I like about 3 is Jeremy Irons, who I like in anything non-D & D he does.

As an action movie I think Die Hard 2 is awesome, it just lacks a great villain like 1 & 3 have.

2 is by far the weakest of the trilogy.

But it's still heads above 99% of action movies.

Definitely yay for action and some of the cheesiest lines ever put on film:

Lorenzo: We don't have time for Monday Morning Quarterbacking from the NYPD"

McClane: Hey, my wife's a passenger on one of those planes. That puts me on the playing field.

<--- not a fan of this sequel...

but i'm not saying it's bad....

Willis can't carry the whole movie by himself

i like the 3rd better than the 2nd

It's the weakest of the three, but still watchable.

Awesome action flick. Better than the 3rd, but doesn't hold a candle to the original.

I dunno. I thought 3 was the best.

"That's a white man, with white problems! You deal with him!"

WTF?

All three were really good but I'd say 2 was the weakest.

Still loved it though.

I just watched 2 and 3 on DVD, and I gotta say 2 is the best out of those two, the ending for 3 is, as we all know tacked on.
Harlin nows how to shoot action and the annex skywalk shootout is brilliant.
I remember seeing 2 at the cinema (just because I was too young to see the first). I loved the scene were the hanger doors open and you see the 747 just standing there. WAY COOL!
Also no matter what anyone says you did not see that switch happen.

Good flick. I liked it better than 3 (and I thought 3 was good too.)

I liked all three. I would like the third one more if they had kept the original ending but what can you do. The second one was still a fine action flick.

I really enjoy all 3 - and don't bother trying to decide which is the best, just sit back and go along for the ride on whichever one I happen to be watching at the time.

Die Hard 2 was a good, solid action film. It could easily stand on its own and be successful. However, I do feel that it is the worst of the trilogy.

It's equal to the original and way better than DH3. John Amos is the man and it was a kick ass shooter in the original Playstation game!

DIE HARD 2

- Great action set-pieces - (annex skywalk, ejector seat, icicle fight)

- Great ending

A solid sequel, a worthy effort to capture the essence of the original, and yet stand alone on its own.

Yay.

I also thought 2 was better than 3.

I thought it was just as good, if not better, than the first Die Hard. EXCEPT that I was disappointed with the ending. If the ending was something like the original, I would've been more satisfied.

Also, I thought part 3 was the best of the trilogy.
