Hosting forum images off the ads server?
Is there any possibility that the vBulletin images (e.g. New Thread image, Quote image, etc.) could be hosted off the ads.kleinman.com site? It kills the site on computers with aggressive HOSTS files. I realize there is probably no chance it will change, but I'm just wondering why it's set up that way. Thanks.

Well, seeing as though gkleinman relies on the ads to generate revenue to keep the board up and running...my guess would be no, since it only inconveniences those that are blocking the ads.
Why not just remove ads.kleinman.com from being blocked? (though I realize you might not have access)

Yes, the official reason for hosting the images on our ad server is so that people can't use the forum if they block ads. Also it came out of the need to host the images on a seperate server than the pages for the forum from a server load point of view.
