Grammys

CBS airs the music award event of the year.

5 second delay in effect due to Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake. I think Janet is set to perform. Maybe Xtina will try to top her (no pun intended!)

Yep 5 min. CBS execs want to be able to edit anything to shocking!

Didn't know about this!

Anyone have a line-up for what order everyone performs?

I think i might be wrong on that, looks like Beck is just there to introduce them. Not sure when they are on but one WS site has them performing in the 1st hour of the show.

If there is a 5 minute delay, I would not be surprised if some of these people on stage start cussing left and right and flashing their tits just to make the CBS censors work that much harder.

I am just going to tape it and FF through the commercials tomorrow morning to check out the performances, and probably read up on the awards tomorrow at work. Since it is delayed, and nothing unexpected will make it through air, it will probably be another boring awards show.

Sorry, 5 minutes. With a 5 minute delay, CBS could wipe out an entire performance if they want. What power!

Beyonce and Prince are scheduled to performed together. I want to check that out.

Thanks to now getting HD CBS on DirecTV, I'm really looking forward to tonight's awards in high definition and 5.1 surround.

Also Outkast will perform Hey Ya! Andre always performs that song differently each time. Wardrobe and makeup wise.

I'm taping it and I'll watch it later. The only performance I really want to see is Prince and Outkast (I assume the latter is/are performing).

Do you think that there will be a moment that reunites the remaining Beatles or pays homage to the "fab four" seeing as how it WAS 40 years ago this week and day of the week that they debuted on CBS of all stations?

The homage is on right now - Vince Gill, Sting, Dave Matthews, and Phrallel Williams (The Neptunes) are recreating the Ed Sullivan show act.

Or, failing that, they could just get four guys to make the Beatles' music sound horrible.

I was gonna post it in the CBS "time delay" thread, but that Prince/Beyonce "duet" was craptacular...

I second that... And apparently so did Sam Jackson.
