OOP Box Sets

So just wondering here...

Are there any DVD Box Sets that are currently OOP?

Thanks

The Universal Classic Monsters Collection is out of print, though Universal will shortly be bringing some of the individual titles back into print.

Criterion's "Wrong Men & Notorious Women" collection is out of print, although it only wnet out of print a month ago, and should be relatively easy to find. Two fo the movies in that set -- The Lady Vansihes and 39 Steps -- are still in print indivudally, and, while the other three -- Notorious, Spellbound, and Rebecca -- are not, they are, like the set, still relatively easy to find.

Disney's Fantasia Anthology just went out of print on 1/31/2004.

Toy Story: The Ultimate Toy Box has been out of print for a while now.

Criterion's Wrong Men & Notorious Women is out of print as mentioned above. I don't believe it offered anything beyond the box that couldn't be purchased seperately, but it is an OOP box set.

The Cowboy Bebop box set is OOP, but the DVDs can be bought separately.

I really wish someone would put this back in print. I don't think any of the earlier Puppet Master movies were ever put on DVD (well not here) and this is the only way to get the first handful. I really don't want to pay 150+ bucks for it.

As someone mentioned above- Puppet Master Box Set- I guess Paramount has the distrobution rights to the first 5 and Full Moon (who I guess has the last 3) went and had Koch make the box set and when Paramount heard about it quickly sent a cease and decist (sp) letter. With the new "Puppet Master: The Legacy" just out its from "Shadow Entertainment". Still wish they had made PM vs. Demonic Toys.......

Criterion's Hitchcock boxset is OOP. Three of the 5 titles are also OOP individually.

There's many anime limited edition boxsets (especially in R-2) that are OOP. The first two that come to mind are the Serial: Experiments Lain Limited Edition Lunchbox Set and the Boogiepop Phantom Ultra Box Set. In both these cases, and with anime generally the DVDs continue to be available in a non-limited edition.

The Alien Legacy boxed set is OOP, but nobody seems to mind.

I thought I'd read it was going OOP on here a long time ago. I just assumed that it had. I was mistaken. Original post corrected.

The original Kubrick Collection is OOP, as are the individual releases, which is a shame, since the documentary on the Shining disc isn't available in the new set.

From what I heard, the Puppet Master DVD's (at least the early ones) were VHS quality, like they were transferred direct from the tapes. Anyone have it and can deny or confirm that?

Well besides being the sound that monkeys make, it also stands for Out Of Print.

Are you referring to the mini documentary that Vivian Kubrick shot? It's on the remastered DVD.

The only thing that didn't make it to the new Kubrick set was the interview with Arthur C. Clarke and the longer trailer from the 2001 dvd.
