Scarlett Johansson..typecasted?
Granted I've only payed attention to her performances in Ghost World and Lost In Translation but her part in Lost was pretty much an older version of herself in Ghost World. And judging by the commercials her part in The Perfect Score looks very similiar as well. I haven't seen Girl with a Pearl Earring yet so i can't judge that. Anyone else care to share?

All I see here is more Lost in Translation backlash. I think she did a fantastic job in LiT, Ghost World was ok but wasn't her movie and I haven't seen nor probably will see the other 2.

I wasn't bashing Lost In Translation. Its one of the best films I've seen all year. And she was great in it, she just seems to play the same type of character in her movies yet did it best in Lost In Translation.

I've see her in all 4 of the films mentioned, and, no, she doesn't play any of the roles the same. She's very good in minimalistic acting in "The Girl With the Pearl Earring" where she had to carry the entire film, and she does without breaking a sweat. She's also different in "The Perfect Score", more sarcastic and more smarter than in the other 2 films.

Girl with a pearl was great, and I don't think that was simply her ghost world/lost in translation character being type casted. Also in the perfect score, I wouldn't say she has been totally type casted yet. Besides, like drop said, she's 19.. you figure she will be playing a teenager. Though I wouldn't even come close to saying that she has been type casted at all.
