Which Super Bowl Sunday event bothered you more?

It seems the media, the FCC and family oriented groups are really making a big deal over the Janet Jackson half-time stunt. It always amazes me how uptight we Americans can be about the human body.

So I'm going to draw a line in the sand and see how many people stand on one side or the other.

The "children" are the main reason given for these people being upset. So keeping the "children" in mind. Which did you find more offensive?

Janet Jackson's nipple covered exposed breast.

There were so many other things to be offended by during that broadcast, the very LEAST of which was a half-second glimpse of a woman's breast from a mile away. How about:

1) A commercial with a horse farting in a woman's face
2) Kid Rock's American flag shirt
3) The world's lousiest halftime show with loser "artists" lip-syncing to years-old songs
4) The bondage gear and bumping and grinding of Janet Jackson's entire troup
5) Janet Jackson singing and dancing with a guy who stole his entire act from her brother
6) The lyrics of most of the songs performed
7) The streaker
8) The fake enthusiastic crowd paid to be up near the stage to make it seem like anyone cared
9) The constant ads for "erectile dysfunction"
10) The endless stream of CBS show promos

And I'm just getting started.

That commercial with the horse farting in the woman's face was one of the most low class, tasteless, juvenile, simpleton ads I have ever seen. Amazing that something like that passes for being funny. Whatever happened to creative, witty, truly funny ad writing? I can't even think of one ad that even stood out this year. Absolutely pathetic bunch of ad-writers this time. Hopefully next year will be much better.

The actual game, of which I only watched until halftime. I was bored with it and fell asleep after the halftime show.

I think the overall halftime show was tasteless. How is it that MTV went from one of the more interesting halftime shows (when they had Aerosmith suddenly appear) that wasn't as tasteless (well, visually speaking) to the most crass, tasteless terrible show in a while.

The breast was the icing on the craptacular cake, IMHO.

What's even worse is that no one is talking about the fantastic game that preceeded and followed that spectacle.

The best footage was never seen during the game: The Patriots Matt Chatham lays the smackdown on that limey streaker.

I voted the nip, not so much due to the nip but more directed at the entire half time show. that "music" was pure shit

10) The endless stream of CBS show promos

That would be my vote!

After listenig to many talkshows, morning t.v., reading newspaper public feedback the ones that are not offended say that showing a breast is nothing to get all upset about.
They try to make it a point that the ones getting upset about it are prudes and need to get a life over getting upset about a bare breast.
Even Howard Dean wasn't upset about this.
Now from the people that were upset.

It's Nelly grabbing his crouch, the girls in highschool cheerleader outfits grinding in a sexual way, Justin & Janet's whole rountine and then finishing off the number with the bare breast.
That's what got America upset.
But some people are trying to make seem like the majority of America are dopes for getting upset about a bare brest.
Which is not the case.

Yeah, but if there was no bare breast I highly doubt there would have been much talk about the other stuff you mentioned.

BTW, I do agree, I have always hated that stuff being pushed on kids. I just find it so funny that a bare tit is what's suddenly made it unacceptable.

I told my 4 year old that the severed leg was fake. Didn't think to try that explanation of the boob

Okay, I laughed long and hard at the horse fart. Of course, I have 3 horses that I hate, so maybe it was more pertinent to me.

If it was a CG boob, it would have caused less of a problem?

Here we go again...

A bare breast = an intolerable obscenity that will destroy civilization as we know it.

Violence and gore = wholesome family fun.

I guess I should have been born in Europe.

When Britney & Madonna kissed on MTV the outrage wasn't anything like this.
Because it was on MTV and aimed at the teen crowed, not mom & dad, granny & the under 12 kids.

If there wasn't no uproar over the SuperBowl half-time show then T.V. exes. would know it's anything goes for programing in the family hour on CBS, NBC & ABC.

I thought the horse fart was hilarious. Every time it replays, I laugh my ass off. Screw 'sophisticated' comedy. slapstick and bathroom humor are priceless. Why else do people find Three Stooges funny. It sure isn't because of the oscar caliber writing. We just want to see Curly get slapped by Moe.

Nothing bothered me at all. It would take a whole lot more than a boob, a farting horse, and a fake severed leg to bother me. I'm not a pansy-ass crybaby.

None bothered me in the sense of being offended. Much of it was just stupid, but nothing offended me. Guess I'm not as uptight and PC as some people.

Well neither bothered me as well. But my 10 year old son was a little freaked when they showed the severed leg.

I think it's funny that people are upset about the "boob" their kid might have seen. I mean...the dick grabbing and the crotch grinding should have been a clue if you had small kids watching.

I guess I'm just a big (imature) kid because my son and I were on the floor laughing with the horse fart.

Actually, the lack of a new Simpsons was pretty bothersome.
