Ed Wood - Did you find a copy?
For those looking for this DVD, how many of you had any luck?
I got the only copy at my local Blockbuster. $29.99. I haven't opened it yet, as I'm still deciding if I should keep it or sell it. I feel I overpaid a bit, so I'm gonna be pissed when it's re-released and can be had for $15.99. So selling it may be the best option. But then again, a lot of people seem to be finding these, so the Ebay prices have gone down quite a bit.
I guess I better sleep on it.

Got one from half.com (returnwarehouse) in the mail yesterday and had a friend in Kentucky call me today and told me he got me a copy. Looks like I will keep one sealed as I am sure it will be a collector's item one day since the next release will most likely be different.

There were about 25 or so at my local Bestbuy (I got there about 30 minutes before they opened). I bought one of them and then told managment that they were supposed to be recalled and he promptly took them off the shelf. The funny thing is as he was taking them off the shelf someone asked if they could have one to buy and the manager said they were not for sale. Luckily this guy was pretty desperate so I sold him my copy for $150 cash and then talked the manager into selling me another copy while slipping him $20. BTW, this didn't happen but I'm sure it did somewhere

For anyone in the Houston area who wants to pick up Ed Wood, the Worst Buy on Hwy 6 had about 15 copies this evening. I got one for $19.99 which sure beats bidding on eBay.

Well, here's my story. I've been calling around for the last week or so... Finally, today, my local FYE put it on the shelf. I called them, had them hold it for me. Success... or so I thought. I got there at about 1 pm and they said that they had received a recall notice mid-morning. If I was there at 10, I would have been set. Shame on me for having to work.

According to Digitalbits, tim Burton was not pleased with the features available on the disc. I'll definitely be kinda pissed if I went through all this shit to get Ed Wood on dvd just to have them put more stuff on the version that eventually comes out.

Update: I just got back with my second copy from another Blockbuster. This time, the guy didn't want to sell it to me because he knew about the recall and they were worried it was a defect. I told them I didn't mind taking that risk (I'm pretty sure it's not a defect), and he let me buy it.
Ebay here I come!

Got mine at Blockbuster in North Kansas City. Got the only copy they had by calling and having them hold it for me. They thought I was a freak for wanting the movie so bad. I'll most likely keep mine.
