Britney may become the next Bond Girl! what has the world come to?
Britney Spears has reportedly set her sights on copying her pop pal Madonna by appearing in the next James Bond film. The singer has said she will spend the next couple of years concentrating on her acting career, following the muted response to her comeback album In The Zone - and Spears has instigated a meeting with 007 producer Barbara Broccoli to discuss the possibility of appearing alongside Pierce Brosnan in the next spy offering. A source says, "Britney's desperate to carve out a name for herself as an actress and loves the idea of being a Bond girl. She's in great shape and thinks she'd be brilliant. Britney has seen what it's done profile wise for Halle Berry and she wants a slice of the action." Berry appeared with Madonna in the last Bond film, 2002's Die Another Day.
I can't imagine her in this kind of role, are there any hot females who could also act out there?

Will she be just a brief cameo or be the Bond girl that is required to tag along with 007? If so, she could get real annoying.
Why stop with her? Let's have Britney be the Bond girl who fights for the villain, and Jessica Simpson be the actual squeeze. In dumb Bond girl tradition, she could unwittingly foil an amubush by doing something stupid like farting in their vicinity. Hilarity ensues man!
Please don't let this happen...if you want a name, go for Charlize Theron or better yet, Monica Belluci. She seems like a woman born to be a Bond girl.

Not the greatest casting decision, but it pales in comparison to the news that Beyonce may become the next Lois Lane.

As the main Bond girl? Honestly, she'd be a step up from Denise Richards.
I wouldn't mind her doing the opening song and dancing around and what not, which it sounds closer to what she has in mind.

Maybe it's tthe writing that makes the actress look bad.
Tanya Roberts & Denise Richards performances sucked in the Bond films, but in other movies that were good and sexy.
Britney is hot.
Now if they have her sing the opening Bond song that's another matter.
