Any experience with JVC-XVSA602/600?

I did the idiot mistake of getting a R2 dvd and thought that I could just hack the code of my current Philips DVD-825. I did, but the picture wont stay still because of the dvd is a PAL format, while my player and tv are NTSC.

If I get the JVC would I be able to play PAL stuff on my current tv setup? I know it says I can play it on that player, but I just wanna be sure before I spend the $200 bucks.. anyone have any experience with it?

if you buy a non modded player from a store like Best Buy it will only play a PAL disc if the region code is 0. if you are looking at the player that hkflix.com is selling, then yes you will be able to play any disc, no matter what the region code. I have the 600 and the only problem I have had was a subtitle problem on the movie XXX.

is there a way I can change my Philips 825 to a 0 Region setting? Or maybe even my PS2?
