Streets of Rage Fans Look Here:
Good luck downloading it as they are being swamped right now. There's also an XBOX and PS2 port available for those of you who are privy.

As fans of the 'Streets of Rage' series that originally appeared on the SEGA megadrive/genesis, we always wanted to see streets of rage 4. But the waiting proved futile, and streets of rage 4 never came. That's why we tried to correct this mistake and fill the void by making the ultimate tribute to Streets of Rage:
Beats of Rage!!
Development
Beats of Rage was created by team Senile (that's us). However, the character sprites and some parts of the backgrounds are taken from 'the King of Fighters' games by SNK Playmore.

Okay, I just downloaded.
1. Be sure to have your soundcard ready for DOS/Sound Blaster emulation.
2. Disable performance options in properties, so that the game runs real time and not speed.
It should work perfectly.
However, after playing for an hour, I am quite disappointed. Home brew or not, this is no where near a real Streets of Rage game. It is very repetitive, very.
It does make me want a real SOR even more though.

Streets of Rage was very repetative as well. Come to think of it, all side scrolling beat em ups are repetative. We've just evolved as gamers and it's more apparent to us playing this games again.
