Would you watch a remake of this as a new weekly show?

You know the story, but here's the twist.

Spoiler:
Part 1 - they hold Americal Idol type of auditions for the roles, which in turn will be a Big Brother type of thing with a battle of the bands. Part 2 - The winning band will then go on to star in the series.

NO. It sounds like a major waste of time all around.

I'm TIVOing it because the girl who plays the new Laurie Partridge is fucking hot...

And that's how I base what I watch. Which show has the more attractive actors...

I actually enjoyed this remake. It was twisted. I only saw 20 minutes, but enjoyed. It has no socially redeeming value whatsoever

French Stewart is funny as ever. Every third word he said was bleeped. First concert was in a tatoo parlor. The mother character is pretty slutty. She showed us her tatoo the kids didn't know she had. She also shows cleavage at every opportunity. Father has abandoned family rather than being dead. Next weeks promo shows Danny Bonaduce as the missing father who plays with REO Speedwagon and has a male life partner.

Thought it was sort of funny -- definitely lifted some parts from a similar show, The Office (scripted reality), especially with the kid who just stares at the camera. Still laughed. And yeah, Emily Stone is a cutie.
