What's the scoop with Batman the Animated series?
What's with Warner Brothers? They've only released a couple of discs of Batman the Animated series. At the rate they're releasing the episodes, the complete series may finally be out by 2020! Anyone know when they'll be releasing another disc, and what episodes will be on them? Thanks.

After the recent announcement of 2 Adventures Of Batman & Robin DVDs containing random episodes, fans of the series were a bit upset that Warner Bros still had not announced the season sets that were mentioned at the San Diego Comicon back in July. We got Batman's trusted butler Alfred to make some calls, and we found out that sets are still planned for the show. It was hinted that we should expect a box set sometime around summer.
So for those of you frustrated that you still hadn't heard when this show was going to be released, at least we have a timeframe now. With the first season comprising 60 of the 85, it'll be interesting to see how Warner Bros intends to release the series.

Or they could just do a six disc set with all the episodes. I'm pretty sure that can be done now. I mean they fit 36 episodes of Gilligan's Island on 3 dvds. Sure that is black and white, but I think they should be able to pull off 6 discs for the first season of Batman. And that would be less lame than splitting it in half. But they are money grubbing bastards so they probably will do that. Hell they'll probably split it in three or four.
