Playstation / Logitech USB headsets?
I bought the Logitech USB headset for the PS2 b/c the few reviews that I read about it said it was a better headset,
and the warranty was really good.
Upon opening it, I found that it doesn't have a mute button/volume control piece like the Playstation headset has.
What's up w/ that?
How does a lack of mute and volume control make a better headset?
Am I missing something here?
Can someone who has this headset please advise as the how you control the volume on this thing? (or can you?)
I'm pretty set on exchanging it, so any/all comments are appreciated.

I purchased the Playstation version, which is also made by Logitec. I knew it had a volume and mute button which is what sold it for me. That and the cheaper price. I would return it and get the PlayStation one if you can.

I think the thing that makes the PS2 headset the PS2 headset, is the little box that encodes your speech either for the game (like SOCOM) or for everything (voice-over-ip).
So it seems the PS2 headset could maybe be used with a computer but probably not the other way around.
The only way to test this, I think, is with a computer game that uses headsets, of which I have none, otherwise I'd check it out and let you know.
