New Hammer 4/27

From DVD Drive-In :
As we told you some months ago, Warner Home Video will be releasing three Hammer horror classics from their vaults: DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE, FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED and the uncut version TASTE THE BLOOD OF DRACULA. The street date will be April 27 to tie in with the new "Van Helsing" movie, and they retail for $19.97 each. Warner will also release on the same day the "Hammer Horror Collection" which will feature these and three previously issued Hammers. Cover art for all three plus more details to follow. Thanks Warner!

I wonder what the 3 previously issued Hammers are? My guess is that the releases are from the other Hammer Horror Collection (Horror of Dracula, Curse of Frankenstein & the Mummy). Funny... I was contemplating purchasing this collection the other day.

Any idea what the price on the six-pack will be? (The individual discs are priced near $20, so I'd expect the 6-pack to MSRP for around $120, but I wouldn't object to a discount on it.)

And by the way, I love the fact that Warners is using the old "retro" posters for the cover art. It just adds a little someting extra to these old movies to keep the old-fashioned posters on the front.

I'm really looking forward to these! I just scored the Lost Continent/Reptile-Mummy's Shroud/Plague of the Zombies 2disc sets on tuesday.

Once I have these remaining discs, my Hammer collection will almost be complete!

And here is the cover art:

Gotta say that those covers kicks some serious ass!

(And the six-pack containing the above three, in addition to The Mummy, Horror of Dracula, and [/i]Curse of Frankenstein[/i] appears to have a list price of $68.95. Not bad at all.)
