Just got DirecTV - question about snow/ice
Just had a 3 room DirecTV system installed this weekend, and everything is just fine.
My question, being in the midwest, is about snow (the white stuff outside, that is). The installer told me to clear any heavy snow off the dish, which is understandable. My question is how obsessive about do I need to be?
At what point does snow/ice impact picture quality? A little? A lot?

There has to be quite a bit of snow for it to impact your picture. Yesterday, my dish was almost completely covered in snow, but I had great signal strength. The only time I've had problems was with the really wet, slushy, sticky snow.
One tip is to spray your dish with Pam to keep the snow from accumulating.
