Is it normal for Branching

I have a question I wanted someone to answer me. I just but a nice RCA DVD player. I notice on some movies like T2 Extreme cut and Snow White that branching is going on in some of the scenes. Like when there is a new scene in T2 or in Snow White were in the French version the titles are in French. I notice a slight pause before or after that secen. I wanted to know if this is normal for some dvd players to have this. Don’t get me wrong I love my DVD player its heck a lot better then the AKAI that I bought a few years ago. I was just wanting if this is normal to happen. All the other features are working great. Expect for the branching part.

IIRC, my player has a slight pause during the branching parts.

Some players are more sensitive to branching (along with layer changes) than others.

I have a Sony player and it never pauses on any of the discs I have with seamless branching (T2 Ultimate and Extreme, The Abyss, Alien and Aliens). It truly is seamless.
