difference between two cuts of Identity?

Can someone tell me what the difference between the theatrical and the extended versions of Identity are? I've seen both now, and couldn't notice a difference. Please be specific.
Thanks
Mike

Pulled from Amazon.com's synopsis:

Spoiler:
In the final minutes, the film flashes back to the murders of all the other motel visitors. In the theatrical cut, all the murders are committed by the boy, Timmy, but in the extended cut, some are committed by the mental patient, Malcolm Rivers.

There's also a slightly extended scene w/ Alfred Molina's character.

I watched both versions on the DVD and was pretty disappointed to see that this was the much-touted, much-advertised "alternative ending". Give me a break!

Although I liked the movie in general, this marketing gimmick for the DVD was lame...

I still haven't watched the extended cut (the first time I saw the film I watched the theatrical version), but aparently since the differences are so minute you guys saved me the hassle. Thanks. Pretty good movie, though, by the way.
