I'm checking it out...
does this have the song with the lead singer from Dream Theater (James LaBrie) on it?

Sweet! It does! This sounds VERY promising...

just stumbled on this last night. Was ready to post it and thought.. eh there is a search box.

Two of my favorite artists collide. I can't wait. James LaBrie(of Dream Theater) and Ayreon. Should be killer.

Looks (and sounds) promising. I'll have to check that out. I'm particularly interested in hearing Michael Akerfeldt's contributions. I recently became an Opeth convert...

Look forward to listening to it. I was hoping for Astrid van der Veen to be on this project but.....oh well.

It gets better with each listen. I think it may take over ITEC as my favorite Ayreon album.

I actually found the thing at Best Buy today! I bought the Special Edition, but have not opened it just in case I find the Limited Edition online as cheap.

I didn't even know the thing was out yet! I'll check my local store. I too am interested in hearing Mikael Akerfelt and Devin Towndsend's contribution to the album, being they are 2 of my favorite vocalists.

Well, don't expect a lot of either of them. They are both included in only maybe 2 songs and they are mainly backing/supporting vocals.

Oh yes, I actually did know that their role was limited, but being a huge metal fan in general, I'm curious to hear the project as a whole.

I've only given it a couple of listens, and not my full attention yet. What I've listened to and read from the booklet is quite good.

Got my autographed Limited Edition in the mail the other day.

Just found it today at BestBuy (and used my 10% coupon and RewardZone, BTW). I got the deluxe edition w/DVD. I'm partially through disc 1 right now and it's very good. Talk about a who's who of prog rock and dark metal vocalists. I don't think he missed anybody. The production is, of course, very good. Lots of orchestra insturments and acoustic guitars and layered vocals. There's a lot of material here so it will take a few days for it to sink in.

I got my Limited Edition on Friday. This has got to be one of the the coolest packaging for an album ever.

Re: In case there are any Ayreon fans in here

Heads up, Ayreon's newest The Theory of Everything MP3 album is $6.99 on Amazon. Full album is $17 for comparison.

It's a long album so good price on that. I like it, but I still like the early stuff the best. Wish he go back to doing a single album for once.
