A Quinn Martin Production.
Starring Roy Thinnes as Architect David Vincent
God I loved how the voice over said that.
How the show was spilit into acts
David Vincent was one cool dude, like the Mulder of the 60s, interestingly, Chris Carter was a fan, and gave Roy Thinnes a role on the x files as Jermieh.
This would be a cracker on dvd, the show sort of drifted because of age, then the xfiles sort of pounced in the 90s which had everything, the invaders update with scott bakuka and painfully small cameo with David Vincent didn't do well. But this is still a crack show of the 60s that stands up well.
Needs to be on dvd.

I loved this show as a kid (the very first one that caught on with me, as I recall) and since then I've never seen so much as a clip from it. I'd love to catch up with it again on DVD!

Thanks for the replies fellow collectors, I truelly believe this show to be one of the best in sci fi, it just probabley didn't have the follow up show it deserved to continue interest, the x files sort of includes the alien thing in its many elements, but still Roy Thinnes as David Vincent in this was excellent.

Hmmm... last post January, 2004. I guess the show's owners don't care to see it released.
Well then, someone please air the series in my market, please!

Paramount's "The Invaders"
If ever there was a semial TV series form the early days of sci-fi television it was "The Invaders" with Roy Thinnes, and yet, year after year the series languishes on the shelves at Paramount without the kind of release to DVD it deserves.
Does anyone on this forum have an e-mail address at Paramount where one can attempt to communicate with them regarding our need to get this released to DVD asap?

I could be wrong but I don't believe Paramount owns the show. When it ran on Sci-Fi channel it was distributed by Kingworld not Viacom. No mention of Paramount in credits. Gooodtimes released some episodes on VHS and Republic released the pilot episode and the '90s remake. Hard to say who controls it now. One show Paramount does own is "The Immortal" with Christopher George as Ben Richards but I don't believe even Ben Richards will live long enough to see this obscure show to get released on dvd.

First season released Monday in the UK. There will also be a French release but it’s been confirmed the subs are locked when viewing the English language version.

Isn't this the crappy remade tv series that didn't last too long?

No, although some of the online stores think it is, since they'ce mixed up information from the original and remakes in their listings.
It is five discs and is the first 17 episodes of the original.
