What is the worst widescreen to pan & scan conversion you've ever noticed?

I'm dying to get other opinions of bad widescreen to pan & scan movies. The worst one I saw was Real Genius and blessed the day it finally was released on DVD in widescreen. I noticed Heat also looked pretty bad when I watched it last night on HBO. The Great Escape was also another one.

What's the worst noticable pan & scan movie you've ever seen? (I could care less if the movie was good or not)

Wild Things. That movie pans back and forth so much you would think you were watching The Blair Witch Project.

The Fan. I watched it on some movie channel years ago. The Pan and Scan movements were so quick, I'd never seen more artificial looking pans. It literally looked like the transfer was done by some guy in a movie theater with a camcorder.

Pulp Fiction

The entire conversation between Jules and Vincent in the cafe is ruined with pans and cuts.

Ghostbusters

Winston's barely in it already... we need to cut him out MORE?

Any film by Ridley or Tony Scott are a pain to watch when they air on television.

You might as well be sitting in the front row at a movie theater.

This was the movie that converted me. I bought this on
VHS (pre dvd) and it was the last money I ever spent on a Pan
and scam presentation.

The Cable Guy. I saw it (appropriately) on cable once and the panning back-and-forth was so painfully out of place that I turned it off and read a book.

Citizen Kane. I was infuriated that the greatest film of all time would get such shoddy treatment on DVD!

Groucho stole it shamelessly from "The Simpsons" (although the context was slightly different).

I agree, but we're talking about bad p&s transfers here.

I'll readily admit to stealing it from the Simpsons (thank you Principal Skinner). Was definitely not trying to steal Groucho's thunder...

Hmm... League of Their Own, Ghostbusters, Multiplicity, The Fan, The Cable Guy. All Columbia/Tristar movies. I noticed years ago how awful their pan and scan jobs were.

Whereas other studios at least try to make it look halfway decent, they just constantly pan back and forth to whoever's talking instead of making an actual cut.
