Big Fat Question?

Does the winner get a million half or quarter. I heard all three amounts tonight.

It's supposed to be 250,000 for the woman, and 250,000 for her parents if she wins.

why does she keep referring to a million then?

Is it she thinks the guy will get the same $250/$250 deal?

That was my issue. They said a million at first then 250 for here then 250 for her parents. Then they said a million again.

Yeah she must assume the same deal for the guy considering he's supposed to be a contestant as well.

I think the host told her she and her family will win half million dollar. She will win $250k and her family $250k. And the host also told her her fiance was in the same boat so she probably assumed that the whole pot is $1 million and the guy will be trying for their half million.

I actually thought she looked like an older Carmen Rasmussen (from American Idol 2).

I think the real Big Fat Question is if anyone will be watching the next episode. This one got old pretty quickly.

She looks like Elliot (Sarah Chalke) from Scrubs.

Nah, I don't see the resemblance to SMG (doesn't have the almond shaped eyes, or the distinctive nose). She just looks like an average, cute, blonde.

Then she opens her mouth and she is a average cute blonde bitch.
If I were in her situation I would at least make an attempt to show people I was marrying this person, she acts like she is trying to convince people she is not with him.

I don't see an official thread for this, so I'll post my comment here.

There was a big spoiler in the little summary of the show that played at the beginning:
Spoiler:
Randi is told that if anybody objects to the wedding, she won't get the money...and in the little summary we see her father objecting. Whoops!

However, this may be like "Joe Schmoe" where she gets the money regardless of the outcome.

The underlying tone to Fox reality TV shows is basically: What will people do for a large sum of money. I love watching human nature in its basest form on display.

it would be great if she convinces her family to attend the wedding and nobody objects.

then have the big fat groom's family object so nobody gets any money!

Does he get the money if she CAN'T convince them she's marrying him?

The opening episode was wildly funny, IMO. I'm suprised more people don't like it. Favorite Quotes:

On the opening night:

(Sitting on her bed) "This is where Randi gets randy!"

(Screaming at the neighbors) "Your house SUCKS!"

At Breakfast:

"Wanna Bite?" (Of his breakfast sausage on a skewer)

"Beef, That's what's for breakfast."

(When asked about relatives) "Stay away from my sister. The last time I saw her, she was chasing me down the street with a butcher knife."

"Sometimes I wake up and I don't know where I am. When I go out, I usually have 1 or 2 drinks which turns into 30."

At the Spa:

"OHHHH, AHHHH, She's rubbing my back fat."

(Moaning while getting massage) "Think Baseball, Think Baseball."

(Gyrating while in Tightie Whities) "Come and see my naked dance of love!"

The Previews:

(Talking to the preacher) "Hell, YA. Rock on!"

I can't wait until we meet the "sister." I imagine that was a setup for something to come.

This show did get old really quick. One of the problems is that it immediately follows one full hour of reality TV, making it hard to focus on a second hour of reality TV. I found myself heading toward the computer with the TV in the background about halfway through.

This is one of the few reality shows that I will watch. I love to see people that get into reality shows get screwed with.

Plus, I want to see the father hit this guy.

I love it, personally, and I hate all reality shows.

I'm only going to continue to watch it if there is nothing else on. How many episodes are there supposed to be. It really seems like you'd only have to watch the first and last ones. I expect everything in the middle to be more or less the same.

I read somewhere it's supposed to be 6 episodes.

I really enjoyed it. I loved some of the music they played like the Psycho music for the reveal and the happy music at the end when he's in the hottub.
