I'm pretty sure I've seen everything David Lynch has released, including television commercials and the content on his website, and I go with Blue Velvet. After that, there are so many excellent movies, I can't really choose between Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, Fire Walk With Me, Lost Highway, or Mulholland Drive.

I know others will disagree, but Mullholland drive edges out Blue Velvet in my book

Tough one for me, because I thought Blue Velvet was so good...but I think The Straight Story proved that Lynch just wasn't about R-Rated surrealism.

Blue Velvet, though they're all great (except for Dune, which is still pretty good).

I love David Lynch and held Blue Velvet as his masterpiece for many years. Until Mulholland Drive. I have never seen a movie that had me at complete attention for days after I saw it. Just amazing.

No one mentioned Eraserhead. Is it because no one has seen it yet?

I went with Lost Highway. Actually, I don't think there is a bad one in the bunch, so it's really hard to choose (I've seen them all, multiple times each). I might put Dune or Twin Peaks in the top spot on another day, depending on my mood.

The best for David Lynch being David Lynch would be Eraserhead and Lost Highway. The best in terms of 'real' movies would be The Elephant Man.

I voted for Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, but it was a close call between that and Blue Velvet for me. When all is said and done though, I can not deny FWWM. It is brilliant.

If you haven't seen Eraserhead, you are not a true Lynch fan.

Voted Lost Highway, though it was hard to choose.

Okay, how about this . . . what are you if you have seen Eraserhead (probably 5+ times), but have never seen any of his other movies (well, I have seen a good bit of Dune)?

I voted for Wild At Heart, which makes me just weird at heart I suppose. I just love Nic Cage's character in that movie.
