I think it depends on the location, but from my experience AMC DOES have student prices and typically it $6.00, though it has been $5.50 in the past. Hope that helps.

It depends on the location. In Chicagoland, the AMC River East has a student price of $7.50. The AMC 30 in Barrington has their student price set at $7.00.

Contrastly, the Loew's at 600 N. Michigan has no student price, but I believe the Streets of Woodfield has a student ticket for around $7.25.

So yeah, it kind of depends on the theater.

Well I'll be in Long Beach, CA where I doubt it's $5.50, but I'm sure there is some kind of student price so sweet!!!

Thanks guys.

yes. about $7 to $7.50 in San Francisco, depending on the theater.

And another good bargain with AMC is the MovieWatcher card. It's free to sign up, and you earn 2 points per movie ticket you purchase (even if it's a student price ticket). Every 10 points will get you a free drink or popcorn. Every 30 points will get you a free ticket. Every 90 (or 100, I'm not sure) will get you free ticket, drink, and popcorn. And every time you use the moviewatcher card on Wednesday, you automatically get a free popcorn. Not bad eh? I think you can earn 4 points max per day or per visit, so that prevents you from earning too many points when you go to the movies in a large group and pass the card around.
