When is it safe to stop padding Sunday night shows?

Ok, call me dumb, but I don't follow football or other sports. All I know is that I have to padd my Sunday night Fox and CBS shows because they are often delayed. I know the Super Bowl is at some point near the end of the month. So is it safe to stop padding then? Or is there another sport like basketball that starts up and still delays the shows?

The extra padding time really sucks on Sunday nights since I record so many shows. It would be nice to know that I could safely just record the shows I need to without the padding time causing extra conflicts.

You're pretty much done. Next Sunday, CBS has the afternoon game, and Fox has the evening game, so there won't be any Fox shows, and CBS should be over in time with the earlier-than-usual 3pm start, but with OT, Cold Case could still get bumped (highly unlikely though). And of course the Super Bowl will be its own event as well.

Jadzia, I don’t follow football or other sports either. (NASCAR is not considered a “sport” by many, but that’s another discussion.) If that makes one dumb, then that’s just – umm – dumb.

I know.

I just figured people would think I live under a rock for not even knowing when the Super Bowl is.

I have some major sports blinders on.
